Meet your Instructor

Greetings,

I'm Navid Nikoui, your dedicated karate Sensei. My journey began at age of 15 in Iran, continued in Denmark, and led to my Shodan in 1992 under Shihan Kanazawa Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF). In Canada, I trained under Shihan Teriyaki Okazaki International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF). Achieving my 5th Dan reflects my commitment to personal and martial arts growth. In my personal journey of growth, I've attained a Judging Certificate B. Actively, I involve myself in judging and also participate in Provincial and national tournaments. Currently I serve as Director at large with ISKF BC.

Teaching Philosophy: 

My teaching philosophy revolves around the belief that karate is a lifelong journey encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual growth beyond mastering techniques. I am dedicated to instilling values of respect, discipline, and continuous self-improvement in a humble and supportive environment.
